The Best Pizza

Not Just For Santa Cruz Locals!

O ver the years, thousands of visitors have counted themselves fortunate to have found refuge at Upper Crust Pizza & Pasta Santa Cruz while enjoying a “great slice and a good beer” before hitting the road. Residents of Carmel, Monterey, Watsonville, Los Gatos, San Jose, San Francisco, and further points north know that there’s a true locals’ pizzeria, located at the end of Mission Street — or at the beginning of Mission Street, if you’re heading south from Highway 1 — where good food and good cheer can be had at this family run
Italian eatery.

Owners Sharon and Joe have been told by countless travelers that when they see Upper Crust’s colorful mural on the building’s side, they know they’re “home.” The mural is an iconic work of art. Originally, painted in 2000, and repainted in 2003, it depicts Santa Cruz’ major landmarks. Today, it’s an indelible landmark itself.
